I was going through some papers recently and found this description jotted on a piece of notepaper.
Illustrate strategic inquiry and the ability to collaborate at an advisory level as an overarching steward of the business
My recollection is that this comment was originally focused on Board candidate interviews. However, I
think it can provide broader guidance for bios, resumes, and LinkedIn profiles – an ultimate test of
positioning. And finally, “overarching steward of the business” speaks to the purpose of the Board altogether.
