Headline/Storyline Sample

About 12 years ago, the Headline approach was developed for a specific client. It proved so useful that it is now incorporated for many clients. The headline focuses on the overriding contribution – not the job scope or responsibilities – on “what this gig was all about”. This approach creates a “storyline” that is clear as the reader goes from headline to headline. The headline can be at the company level, the job level, or both – depending on the structure of the career as reflected in the resume. It also helps in developing the resume detail, since the detail becomes “proof of concept” for the headline. This sample is based on the career of an actual Yellow Brick Path client in 2024; however, some information has been changed for confidentiality. It is included here with the permission of the client.
